Sugru - Multipurpose Repair Product

My husband recently told me about this newish product called Sugru that is supposed to be a sort of miracle repair product, or as the creator likes to call it—a 'hacking' item.  Sugru is a silicone-based, putty-looking product that can be molded around nearly anything.  It takes 24 hours to cure to a flexible texture.  It's waterproof and dishwasher safe.  People are using it to repair shoes, gadgets, home appliances, for craft supplies and crafting, for outdoors equipment and auto uses.

The only downside is that it has to be used within 6 months because after that time it will harden in the package.  That's why it's sold in small amounts.  Preppers might think that makes it not very prepper friendly but the money-saving possibilities are obvious.

My husband and I plan on getting one package of 8 to split between us.  I already have some craft and kitchen uses in mind and he's a gadget guy who's always making up his own hacks to get more life out of electronics.  A lot of people use it to make a better grip on kitchen items, crochet and knitting needles and tools.

Creator Jane introduces the product in the first video and the second shows some ideas to make old shoes more comfortable.  You can order Sugru at the company website.
