Class Action Settlement in Wise Company Case

I'm a bit late in hearing about the class action lawsuit against the Wise Food Company. Briefly, the plaintiff (Miller vs. Wise Company) sued the company stating that:
"Wise made misrepresentations and omitted material information about how long its Long-Term Food Kits would last and how many people they would feed."
Regarding the information provided, Wise Company states on their website regarding this lawsuit that:
"Our intentions in providing that guidance were good but our execution fell short. Every family should have the freedom and ability to decide what the appropriate portions will be for their own family. Wise should not have made assumptions about how many calories people in any given family should consume."
On their lawsuit update post, Wise states they are working on a calculator for customers to figure out their own portion sizes appropriate for them and their families. It'll be interesting to see if this affects how other long-term storage food companies label their products. You might be part of the class in this case if you purchased food from Wise between February 15, 2013, through December 31, 2017. You can learn more at wisefoodsettlement.com.
