Review of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Westland, Michigan

I recently stopped at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Westland, Michigan. The store was clean, organized and had a pleasant staff.  I went with my mother and we were both looking for some clothes.  We both found some nice things for plus sizes.  The clothing was organized by size which is always a blessing (unlike Salvation Army which organizes by color).

It wasn't packed wall to wall like some other thrift stores I've visited but there was still plenty of merchandise to look through.  They carry books, knick knacks, clothing, purses, shoes and I believe some furniture and electronics.  There was also a section devoted to new merchandise in the vein of some household essentials you might find at a dollar store or Big Lots.  I think it's definitely worth returning to.

The SVdP runs several charitable programs including emergency food programs and emergency financial assistance, pharmacy programs, job training, youth programs and much more.  At the main St.Vincent de Paul website here you will be able to search for thrift stores closest to you as well as info on the many other programs they offer.  The Detroit and surrounding area focused SVdP site is here.

The address and phone number of the Westland location is:

6613 North Wayne Road
Westland, MI 48185
(734) 729-3088

It's in a strip mall between Ford and Warren roads across from an A&W restaurant.  The closest cross street is Hunter.
